Welcome to KIMAA and the beginning of your journey in the martial arts. Kyokushin Karate is a full-contact style of Karate founded by Sosai Mas Oyama. Kobudo is a weapons-based Okinawan martial art.
You will be in the capable hands of Karate instructors who were taught Kyokushin Karate by the late Hanshi Howard Lipman, an official Branch Chief of Sosai Mas Oyama, and follow traditional Kyokushin teachings. All our Kobudo instructors have been personally trained and certified by Sensei Tetsuhiro Hokama (10th Dan). All are welcome, from those experienced in the martial arts to beginners, both the young and not-so-young.
